You can tell us
without telling us
who you are.
There are good reasons not to put your name on this. You may work at the church. You may sit on the board that is deciding. You may be close to the family, or you may be the person this happened to. Needing to stay out of it is not the same as having nothing to say.
Nothing on this page is required except the message itself. No name, no email, no church. We do not record where you are writing from.
Do not wait for us. Call emergency services. If a child is being harmed, contact the police or your local child protection agency. In the United States, the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline is 1-800-422-4453, day or night. We are not investigators, we cannot intervene, and we are not a substitute for either of those.
This is not a legally confidential channel. We are not your lawyer and not your counselor, and nothing sent here carries privilege. If what you are carrying needs someone who can offer that, say so and we will help you find them.
If you leave no way to reach you, we cannot write back, so we give you a code instead. Keep it somewhere safe. Come back to this page, put it in, and you can read what we said and write again, as many times as you need, without ever saying who you are.
You do not need the story organized, and you do not have to name anyone. “Something happened and I do not know what to do” is a complete message.
Optional, and worth thinking about. Naming it helps us understand the situation, and it also narrows down who you might be. Leave it out if that matters more.
Only so we know how to reply. Leave it blank if you would rather not say.
Only if you want one. An email, a phone number, a time of day that is safe to call. Anything you put here is the one thing on this page that could identify you, so leave it empty if you would rather we used the code.
We have it. Here is your code.
Write this down, or keep it somewhere only you will look. It is the only way back to this conversation, and we cannot look it up for you or send it to you. There is nowhere to send it, which is the point.
You also left us a way to reach you, so we can write to you directly. Keep the code anyway. It is how you read the reply on this page if hearing from us somewhere else would not be safe.
Someone will read what you sent. Come back to this page whenever you like, put the code in, and you can read what we said and carry on the conversation from there.
Pick up where you left off.
Put in the code you were given. You will see anything we have written back, and you can write again in the same conversation. Nothing else is needed, and nothing you type here tells us who you are.
It reaches the same people, and it is still anonymous. Keep your code: it is how you get back here.
That is with us and it has been added to the conversation above. Nobody needs to send it again. Come back here with the same code to see what we say.
